topic Nice tutorial !!! in LabVIEW

Hi,

I'm trying to learn Labview but am a little discouraged right out of
the gate since the NI tutorial's first exercize doesn't seem to work
as advertised. The exercize I speak of is a simple while loop
enclosing a random number generator wired to a waveform chart. There
is a boolean toggle switch wired as a control to while loop's
conditional terminal. When I run the simple VI, the chart just keeps
on running regardless of the state of the switch. I have followed the
tutorial to the 'T' and experimented some too, with no positive
results. Any suggestions to make this work. What am I overlooking?
TIA.

~Jim
One honest mistake that a lot of people make the first time around is confusing the "Run" button with the "Run Continuously" button. They are located side by side on the button bar. You must run a VI using the "Run" button.
