Hi Kevin,

Ideally the 9234 should be used to measure dynamic signals, is this signal a transient (fast) type signal? If so have you seen the force (IEPE) type task? This is available in later versions of DAQmx, is this is not available in the DAQ assistant for you, you might consider upgrade your DAQmx version.

I would like create a VI using the DAQ Assistant feature. I'm using the NI-9234 module along with a load cell. The load cell is a PCB Model 208C04 ICP Force Sensor. My problem - I cannot choose the correct channel configuration under the DAQ assistant menu. Please help.

Thanks,

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the quick response.

Yes, I am planning to measure a transient/impact type of signal. I'm not sure if I have the IEPE type task. What NI software version includes the DAQmx version?

Regards,

Hi Kevin,

The Force (IEPE) task type was introduced in DAQmx 9.1. Can you upgrade to that version or newer? What version of LabVIEW are you using?
