Well, CC would tell you that it doesn't count because you have to wait until he reaches 3K in the list, but, since you started, congrats for the 3K posts and for the 1K ratings, Christian.

Ben, Let's try to find an agreement :

When a thread is started, it's either a breakpoint contribution ( Hey I got a Porsche as NI Christmas present !), a simple question (I have broken wires everywere, what's the difference between a control and an indicator ?) or a positive contribution (a bug report expressed as a question for instance... When I install LV on my home PC, my dishwashing machine starts playing Christmas songs. Is that normal ?).

BreakPoints contributions are recognized either because they are posted in the breakpoint board, or because they are identified as such and entered in an exception table.

Positive contributions can be separated from simple questions because they should be rated 5 stars. Of course, an interesting question can also be rated, but should not be rated 5 stars.

This gives us an important role : always rate 5 stars a positive contribution, and add 4 stars to interesting questions that were inadvertently rated 5s to make them different.

Now I think that Altenbach 3K congratulation thread is highly polluted :(, and I propose that we start a new thread, at the right moment (17 replies to go) to reward him more solemnly...

Since this is all Becktho fault, I think it's is reponsability to open this new thread (that will be counted as BPT...) ;):D

I agree with 5-stars-only people - you either give 5 stars or you don't rate. On very rare occasions 1 star may be appropiate.

Incidentally, some Breakpoint posts are not breaks - for example, the bug threads which are only here so that people will be able to find them.

Although CC may get really angry now, I must say that for me each of the threads you started has the same worth as an answer. So when I started this thread, your post count was >3k - reason enough for me to send you my best wishes.

Also now, that you (according to CCdef.h ) crossed the 3k "again".
