Cannot I/F ELVIS to my new computer

DAQmx doesn't show up in the MAX devices and interfaces list. I am using Win & and had to install eveything manually (i.e using setup.exe instead of autorun)

Hi Patkay,

        First I want to confirm- are you interfacing with ELVIS I or ELVIS II?  As well, if you're using ELVIS I, what kind of data acquisition card to you have in your computer?  Do you have the NI ELVIS software installed? Additionally, DAQmx should not be showing up under Devices and Interfaces in MAX.  DAQmx is just the driver, and should only show up under Software in MAX.  Under Devices and Interfaces is where you should be able to see your hardware.  Thanks!

I guess I should say that NI-DAQmx devices doesn't show up in MAX. I am using ELVIS II and I installed the two CDs that came with the ELVIS II box.

Hi Patkay,

      You'll want to make sure that in MAX under Software you have both ELMISmx and DAQmx installed.  Additionally, does your DAQ device show up in the Device Manager of your computer?  You may want to check to see if your NI Device Loader Service is running if your device is showing up in Device Manager.  Thanks,
