Hi. I am trying to run NI Elvis 2.0.4 on my MacBook to use it with my college's NI Elvis. I downloaded the latest version, but when I try to run the NIElvis.app it launches an error that says "Could not find LabView Runtime, please install it" So I downloaded the evaluation version of LabView 2010 and install the package that comes in the .dmg that says LabView 2010 Runtime Engine, I did the same with the full LabView 2010 Evaluation .mpkg. After doing all that it still doesn't work. If anybody knows the solution please help me and post it

Hi JRBR the Probably the Runtime its asking is older probably LabVIEW 7.0 Runtime. Also you have to install first LabVIEW, and DAQmx Base before installing the Software.
Are you working with an ELVIS , or an ELIVIS II?

The installer reported the failure incorrectly. DAQmx Base 3.3 was successfully installed, but Snow Leopard got confused by a quirk in the meta-package [0]. The installer for DAQmx Base 3.4 [1] is fixed and it includes VISA 5.0, which fully supports OS X 10.6 32-bit. You may wish to install the new version of DAQmx Base instead. At the very minimum, you need to upgrade VISA to version 5.0 [2].
I am not very familiar with the Elvis software/driver pacakge for Mac OS X. It appears to depend both on NI-DAQmx Base and the LabVIEW Run-Time engine, and the readme indicates DAQmx Base 1.5 and LabVIEW 7.0. Looking at the release dates and readmes for those pieces of software, I would say that neither supports the Intel processor, and so it's unlikely that the compiled .apps will run, but try installing the LabVIEW 7.0 Run-Time Engine [3] and see if it works.
If it won't install or won't run on x86, then I would still have hope since the ELVIS package includes driver VIs and you will still be able to program and control your ELVIS from LabVIEW.

HI JRBR , the NI Elvis Mac Beta is just for Elvis not Elvis II. At this time, NI ELVIS software driver is only supported on Windows 2000/XP/Vista and 7. However there are some
However, whileit doesnt officially have Mac support, our customers have reported success using their myDAQ with a MAC computer in three ways:
