download code via Wi-Fi on myrio controller

Solved!

Hello, I can not download the code on myrio via Wi-Fi from the project-guide-vis folder. A communication error occurred with the controller. Is it possible to get an image from the webcam installed on myrio. The controller is connected to the computer via Wi-Fi.

Hey Rjcjujh**88,

What was the specific communication error code you received on the controller? That may help us troubleshoot what's going on. Would you please post a picture of the error you see when trying to download the code?

Also, can you clarify the IP Address for your myRIO is correct in NI MAX?

Yes, I would also suggest you to share the screenshot of the error that you're getting.

Or maybe you can elaborate more about the problem that you're facing while downloading the code.

Specified address correctly, which is specified in NI MAX. Pressed connect. Nothing happened. Now I have when connected via USB does not display the camera as a device on mario.

Hey Rjcjujh**88,

The myRIO IP address should vary whether or not you are connecting over WiFi or USB. This article explains more.

  • WiFi - 172.16.0.1
  • USB - 172.22.11.2

You'll want to make sure you change the IP address in the project to match how you are currently wanting to connect to the device.

What is the current status of your device connection? Are we no longer able to connect successfully via USB nor WiFi?

Thank you, connected, but the camera does not appear in NI MAX devices. But image capture is done through the project. Why video over Wi-Fi connection is very slow.

Rjcjujh**88,

That's great to hear that you got the myRIO connected via WiFi.

Do I understand correctly, that you are now having issues identifying the camera in NI MAX? To which camera hardware are you trying to connect?

If we were able to answer your original issue with connecting to the myRIO via WiFi, I would suggest making a new forum post more specific to connecting to the camera and capturing images. This will bring more light and attention to the next issue.
