Hi guys,

I need to simulate a needle's movements in X,Y and Z axis in 3D plots(cartesian coordinates).

Anyone has ideas of how to go about it?

Pls do adivice me as I've no other means of professional assistance.

Hi Student,

What do you mean by a needle's movement? Please explain with more information.

Anyway, you may want to take alook at some example on 3D controls in both NI Website and in LabVIEW. In LabVIEW Example Finder, you can find solarsystem.vi. It is showing movement. I guess this might be what you want to do.

There is no easy way out but to take a look at the code and try it out.

Hi Lee,

Actually its a extremely thin probe needle which is used to transport tiny samples inside a machine.

It moves in X(left and right), Y(up and down) and Z(in and out depth-wise) directions.

It has several speed modes to choose from slow to fast.

I wanna simulate these movements in 3D plot. Is it possible?
