I'm working on my senior design project (computer
engineering) and need help getting started with LabVIEW. I decided to
the NI ELVIS/Quanser Rotary Inverted Pendulum which we have in the
school’s
Control Lab. I've done some research on control systems and I would
like to design a PID controller. The problem is that I am completely
new to LabVIEW. I am searching for user manuals, VIs, and any
documentation that might help me to setup and run the device. I was
told it
came with the documentation and VIs (which have been lost) necessary to
balance
the inverted pendulum so I plan to study the predesigned program (if I
can find it) to
learn how it works and then modify the system to design a controller
for a
double inverted pendulum. Anyone know where I can find the
documentation I
need to get started with setting up the hardware and running the
program to balance the pendulum? Any help
would be much appreciated. Thanks.
