OK, for those that are interested in a LV2010 version of the Actor Framework, you can take a look here:
https://decibel.ni.com/content/groups/actor-framework?view=overview
It is a group I started to document my experiences with ActorFramework, but I never had time to do anything with it. I figured that that would be a good place to put an unofficial (not NI sanctioned) LV2010 version.

> unofficial (not NI sanctioned)
Let's call it "not NI written". I definitely am grateful that Kurt did the backporting work! 🙂

Fair enough.
Fortunately only three files needed to be modified so it is actually very close to LV2011 and I did not have to write too much.
The bytes for my first LV2010 posting (v3.0.6) had barely time to get seated on the server after and the 3.0.7 port to LV2010 is complete.
Find the LV2010 version here:

If I have time I will try to do the examples now posted.

And now I added a VIP file to the Actor Objects (LV2010) group. Find it here:

Some day I will work on my file naming. Time to go home for the day though

Could AF be used in LabVIEW 2009-sp1, (or is there some limitation of LV9 that would prevent that conversion?)

I am not aware of a limitation. Have you tried saving the 2010 version to a previous version or do you only have 2009sp1? If the later, I can try to save to 2009sp1. How soon do you need it?

Thank you, I will try it out then. Looks ideal for a current need!
(I didn't want to go looking for trouble, if there were already known problems. I do have a current subscription, but my active project is in lv9.)

No problem. I will try to get to it this weekend. But if not I will do it Monday. I am in NJ (eastern time) so if Monday it won't be till noon my time. You can ask questions on AQ's original group as it will be pretty much the same as that version. Launching actors is different and the use of the automatic conversion of an error cluster to a Boolean is new in 2011. Is a zip file OK?

I posted a zip file here: https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-22925
Good luck. As I mentioned, you can post questions as a new thread in this group.
