I am writing up a project specification for a 3rd revision of a project. If I were to ask my boss' permission, would people be interested in following a blog-style discussion on implementing the Actor Framework (AF) in a real-world test case?
- The prototype version 1 of the project was featured in the Local Variables thread, and used FieldPoint Data Acquisition, and a competing brand's process controllers
- Version 2 used a USB-6225 DAQ, the same competitor's process controllers, and a Queued State Machines architecture
- The prototype build has been decommissioned and dismantled for parts and will be rebuilt using a cRIO and a desktop computer. I will be able to directly compare the AF in both real time and non-deterministic environments, which could be interesting.

I would atleast be interested in that.
So far I've only used AF in my spare time (read: not much time) to get the hang of it, before going to implement it in a real-world app, and updating previous software with it when I feel comfortable with AF. It would be interesting to see how it performs on a cRIO RT target.

I certainly would be interested.

I'd like to see the story of a cRIO implementation for sure.
