ECU MC Toolkit : Custom device For Veristand 2016 and 2017 ?

Hello,

For the moment we use the custom device of ECU MC toolkit ( XCP and CCp master ) in versitand 2014.

But we need to upgrade to veristand 2016 and after to veristand 2017 ( to have the compatibility to Matlab R2016b  with Windows 10).

I don't find a version of the custom device for veristand 2016 or 2017. and i don't find the source code to compile it with labview 2016 ( like for the Engine simulation toolkit).

Can it be possible to have a 2 new compilation for veristand 2016 and 2017 ?

i have see this procedure and we do it. so it's ok for the tooltkit in labview. but not for the custom device for veristand.

Hello Alekus,

Thre XCP/CCP Custom Device you are refering to is included in the toolkit: see this paper

Just in case you don't have the source code, you have the GitHub page of the custom device: https://github.com/NIVeriStandAdd-Ons/XCP-CCP-Table-Controls

Basically you just have to mass compile in the correct version (LabVIEW 2016 or 2017) for the custom device to be accessible by Veristand 2016/2017.

I am trying to get the XCP CCP Master Custom Device for use in VeriStand 2017. I followed the procedure given here but as alekus mentioned, this does not include the XCP CCP Master custom device for VeriStand 2017.

Where can I get the custom device built for VeriStand 2017 or alternatively where can I find the source for XCP CCP Master?

Hello,

According to the readme, VeriStand 2017 is natively supported by ECU Measurement and Calibration 18.0. If you have the opportunity to upgrade your toolkit, it will be OK.

This said, I'm looking for VeriStand 2018 support of this toolkit (I wqnt to use this Custom Device with VeriStand 2018). Does someone of NI can tell me if VeriStand 2018 will be supported soon? Is there a way to get the Custom Device source in order to build the Custom Device for VeriStand 2018? (not found on Github, the only XCP reference is a workspace display template)

The CCP/XCP Custom device for VeriStand 2018 should be available in late Jan - early Feb 2019 time frame. 

Unfortunately the custom device source is not available at this time.

Hi Jeff,

Thank you very much for that precious information.

The target for my customer is to get a "manual onfiguration" available in mid Jan (so a full VeriStand project to play with its DUT). So it could be done with VeriStand 2017 and the current available version of CCP/XCP Custom Device first, and then migrate to VeriStand 2018, with ASAM support and associated Step Types (that's why I need VeriStand 2018 - hoping the steps will be also released in january) and this new version of CCP/XCP Custom Device.

This mean we will have to limit Custom component use (and development) to the strict minimum, in order to ease the migration from 2017 to 2018.

Have you an idea of the "confidence indicator" of that release, I mean, how many percent can I rely on this CCP/XCP Custom Device release in February ?

2018 ended with a fresh new release for ECM M&C toolkit on 21th december !
