Hi,
The error number in Hex would be helpful. Otherwise take care to have no set property functions, after you started the communication. Normaly the config attribute "Start on Open" is set to TRUE. That means the communication starts with ncopen. If you use "set attribute "after ncopen change the config attribute to FALSE and use ncaction to start communication after the last set attribute function.

Hi ,
How old is your Library and which NI-CAN driver version does it support. Perhaps your NI CAN driver is newer then the Library support. Call VIGO for Support.

Hi DirkW,
The CAN open was purchased recently from Vigo. Version number is "0.9". The hex value and the exact message when the error occurs is as follows.
Error Number : -1074388969
NI-CAN: (Hex 0xBFF62017)
This attribute's value must be provided prior to the Open. Solutions: Set the attribute using the Config function before the Open, and do not set the attribute at any later time; Do not configure multiple CAN Objects for the same ID.
I looked if i had configured multiple objects for the same ID but could not find any. Could u please throw some more light on this.
Thanks and rgds
Prithvi.

Hi,
Because the NI CAN part is hidden from you as a customer, there is not much you can do. Which NI CAN driver version have you installed?
Did you use a standard example?
Otherwise we sell the same library but tested and supported with examples for 100 US dollar and perhaps you should try this one?
