One option to implement a watchdog would be to modify your LDF File and schedules. You could include this watchdog in every schedule. You could also use the Sporadic features of LIN as explained in the previous post. (This would also have to be modified in your LDF).
You could look at the "LIN Dynamic Database Creation.vi" example (in HW Input and Output -> LIN -> NI-XNET -> Advanced) to create your own database in your application.
