1. Install Labview
2. Install NI-CAN drivers(download from NI at the following link)

3. Go to the NI_CAN software download page (link below) and download and install the starter kit, help files, and documents.

4. Go into control panel and click on NI CAN configuration. Make sure your CAN port is configured according to the help documents.
6. Attach any device you can find that transmits CAN messages to the CAN card.(you can worry about 2 way communication later, if your NI-CAN card recieves messages then the wiring and installation is good)
7. Open the NI-CAN
Bus Monitor program and try to read the CAN bus.
