How do you get a 9074 cRio chassis to communicate with a NI-9852 Can Module. I keep getting a driver error when trying to change the node ID?

I am running LabView 2012 0f1 with Max 5.3.1 0f1 and installed the NI-2.7.4 Can driver on my computer. My hardware is an NI-9074 controller with an NI-9852 Can module. When using the Can utilities in LabView to change the baud rate and node ID the controller sends back an error message stating the drivers are missing or not installed. What is the correct Can driver for this module? My host computer is a Windows 7 machine running 32 bit LabView?

The NI-9852/9853 modules are programmed using LabVIEW FPGA, not NI-CAN. You need to download the NI-985x driver.

I downloaded the NI 985x 1.3.1 software but it seems to only support LabView 8.5, 8.2, 8.0, and 7.1 versions as it does not appear to install anything because a higher version is already installed.

Good question. We have released newer versions of the driver, but I don't see them on ni.com. You may need to contact support. I will see what I can do to get them posted online as well.

It looks like the NI-985x driver is installed with the NI-RIO installer.

https://www.ni.com/en/support/downloads/drivers/download.ni-rio--legacy-.html appears to be the lastest version.
