As soon as I drop an XNET interface control on my front panel, LabVIEW starts responding very slowly, to the point of being unusable.
Does anyone know what could be causing this?
I am using LabVIEW 2021 SP1 and NI-XNET 21.8. I was on a more recent version of XNET yesterday and it had the same problem.
My PC has 16GB of RAM and 500GB of storage. Windows 10.

Knowing that this won't really help you, I'll nevertheless mention that I work with the same environment (LV21 SP1, NI-XNET 21.8, W10) and don't encounter any slowness problems.

Thanks JB. It is good to know that the problem might be specific to my configuration.

I have the same problem. Never figured out what was causing the slowness. It looks like a value change event triggers some kind of searching or refreshing and freezes labview for 30 seconds.
LabVIEW 2020, NI-XNET 22.5, Windows 10.

I updated to LabVIEW 2024 and XNET 2024 on the same computer and saw no improvement. The slowness became less of an issue with time but it is still there. I might be crazy but it even seems slow when running executables built from that machine on different computers.
I just got a new Windows 11 machine and will be developing on it soon. Let's see if that changes anything 🙂
