I am a newbie to the Labview environment and have a need to use a TEWS TIP816 CAN Bus Controller in Industry Pack format. I am wanting to know if there is Labview support for this product (based on Intel 82527)?
Thanks,
VAZ

Hello VAZ,
We sell our own CAN bus controller, the PXI/PCI 3051. However, we do not have any drivers for the TEWS TIP816 CAN bus controller. You will need to contact the manufacturer of this device to get drivers for LabVIEW support.
Thank you,
Ryan

Ryan,
Thanks for the quick response. I have contacted the manufacturer and they too do not offer LabVIEW support. Let me take another shot at this - do you know if any of the NI CAN cards are based on Intel 82527 controller? If not, do you know of any other manufacture uses it and has LabVIEW driver support?
Thanks,
VAZ...

Hey VAZ,
The PCMCIA-CAN card uses the Intel 82527 chip. Here is a link to an article regarding this PCMCIA-CAN device.
Thank you,
Ryan

Ryan,
Maybe we are onto something. Is the driver for the PCMCIA-CAN card only available in binary format or is the source available if I wanted to attempt to port to TEWS cards I have?

Hey VAZ,
Unfortunately, we do not release the source code for our drivers. You will need to buy an NI-CAN card to guaranty support for LabVIEW.
Thank you,
Ryan
