NI PCMCIA series2 CAN card detection problem

Earlier I've posted similar kind of problem but could solve that (CAN card detection problem in my laptop sometimes) by changing the laptop.

I'm using NI PCMCIA series2 CAN card. CAN drivers are installed and LabVIEW7.1 software was also installed in my laptop. My application was working fine and I could create the EXE and installer in my laptop and distribute to others.

this was 2 months before.

Today again when I was testing the same application (source code) for the CAN communication section all of a sudden CAN communication is hanging and l could not stop the application. PCMCIA CAN card was observed getting heated up whenever this happens. But sometimes this CAN communication works very fine.

recently my laptop was cleaned with antivirus software. Is this related to the problem or i need to change the laptop again?

Hi,

This could be a technical problem with your PCMCIA CAN board. I have seen this behavior before. You should contact NI asap to have this board repaired.
