PCMCIA overheat problem,

i'm planing to install a daq card 6062E along with NI multispeed can card on one laptop. the problem is that both cards tend to heat up substantialy in normal operating conitions. would that cause damage if the two cards were placed together in two PCMCIA slot residing on top of each other on one laptop?

Al Nashi,

That should not cause any problems. However, if you are using a "Series 1" PCMCIA-CAN card (part number 184272x-0x), you could upgrade to a "Series 2" PCMCIA-CAN card as those new cards require only about half the current the "Series 1" cards needed, which in turn reduces the generated heat.
