USB-8502 Error -1074384710 (0xBFF630BA)

Hello,

I randomly get the error message -1074384710 when using the USB-8502 CAN Card.

Program itself works for a few times, but after a few times (2-10) the error message appears.

Even though the error message is created by the Create Session node, the Xnet Read Node gives me the data from the last time the program ran.

There is also definetly no bus communication.

I also tried everything mentioned on the KnowledgeBase Article:

• Self Test is giving me the same error message as the article
• I upgraded to LabVIEW 2024 Q1 Runtime, XNET 23.8.0 (also reinstalled)
• Windows 10
• Tried different USB Port
• USB power saving is disabled

Also running the Bus-Monitor is not possible (even when the program itself is working)

Any ideas what the issue could be?

If self test does not work, contact NI to check if the device is not defect.

After resetting the device, the self test is successful. Sorry I wasn't clear enough on that point.

We are contacting NI anyway.

I agree that it sounds like failing hardware somewhere.  Either NI's device, or the USB controller, or port on the PC.  If it is possible I'd try loading up your program on another PC to see if the behavior changes.  Or swap to a different NI device.  Sounds like a real issue.
