Hi,

Ther is allways only one Network Interface object per port and you can create max. 49 additional objects per board.
Read the manual from page 9-1.

Hello DirkW,

Would you please provide a more detailed reference concerned to this restriction: the maximum number of additional CAN objects per port is 49.
I tried to make a search (49 and then 50) through my .pdf (of May 2005) but without any success.

Thanks

Hi,

The manual  Chapter " Using the Frame API" should tell you how it works with the Network Interface Object and additional Objects. Additionally you should read the API  Chapter for the ConfigNet and ConfigObject functions to find the mentioned limitations.

Hello DirkW,

Your advise "to read the Manual" is exactly what I asked about.

And thanks a lot. The Manual (version of October 2006) now mentions the limitation I asked about earlier:
"For NC_ATTR_COMM_TYPE = NC_CAN_COMM_TX_RESP_ONLY the number of objects for the communication type usable at the same time is limited to 12."
(p.11-22)
