A Great LV Story

a) The story is pure fiction. A lot of the things it refers to though are the amalgam of real things that go on in LV. But it was written for humor.
b) "Steve R." is LV's chief architect. Not me.

What was the role of the primitive Multiply Array Elements in this story? When wired with an empty array, it outputs the value 1. It must have been comforting to Multiply that a null input sometimes produces a non-zero output... Smiley Happy

Woops - I guess I added some confusion. I had taken out the last names to protect the not so innocent, so there are two Steve's here. The Steve mentioned by name in the story is indeed the chief architect for LabVIEW. The Stephen I referenced in giving credit to the story is the narrator.

Ditto that!

I am convinced I saw some of this behaviour in LV 6.0.1.

I was really feaky to see "wires from no where" feeding an adder in execution highlighting. This of course was fixed in LV 6.0.2.

Having been around for the 6.01-quick-make-that-6.02 bug fix, I can see the point.
So let me amend by adapting a quote from Dragnet:
"The story is made up, but the bugs may be real."
