You all are certainly having alot of discussion about not having any discussions in this thread.
Let's not worry so much about the rules and having discussions about not having discussions and get on with the work of identifying and FIXING Bugs in LV.
Gee, why am I not surprised at this response, given this poster's history?

You betch'a !
I am much more interested in reporting potential bugs and getting them fixed, rather spending endless discussions about what is or is not a proper post, forum rules, the interpretation of forum rules and what is or is not appropriate, what or what should not be discussed, unwaranted personal attacks and libel against people's character.
LabView would be a much better product if more people spent more of their time concentarting on the product instead of non-productive issues of what they think is appropriate or not.

Guys,
Please use Breakpoint (create new thread) or use Private Messages.
Thank you.

And the best way to get NI (and as Smercurio said, we are not NI, just volunteers) to find and fix the bugs, is to pay attention to the rules of the forum when posting the bug and stop complaining about people guiding you on what you should be doing.
Enough said on this topic. You've already generated enough noise in this thread. Please don't put any more posts in this thread except those messages that link to the appropriate message thread where a bug is listed and discussed.

Now I am breaking the rules!
I have requested that a moderator move the off-topic post to the Bug Discusion thread.
I check this thread every morning for updates and I rely on it being only links to bugs. Plese keep it clean.
Your partner in bugs-n-wire,
Ben

Ray, did you mean to put this in the Monthly Bug Thread?
I suspect you were the victim of the forum software's silly (and stupid) method of renaming the breadcrumb based on the message being seen. Thus, if you were looking at the very last message the breadcrumb would say "NI Discussion Forum : Special Interest Board : BreakPoint : Re: Monthly Bugs, October 2010".

I agree with "smercurio_fc" that I even thought Ray actually DID post in the Monthly Bug Thread.
Some suggestions for improvements:
The title in the forum page should represent the original name of the thread and not the subject of the latest post.
And in the notification email contents, there could be a little bit more information, like -
Original Thread : "....." (original name of the thread).
New post: "......" (subject line of the particular post).
The subject line of the Email (not the contents) should have original thread name too. Because people usually keep in mind the original name of the thread for reference.

I actually created this message in the Feedback forum right after posting my reply to Ray.
