Thank you :).
I am a student currently pursuing my B.Tech. I have completed my 3rd year and right now am doing an internship in which i use Labview and mysql. I tried out the practice papers just for fun. I was able to get more than 70 % but have read that the actual exam is much tougher.
Is CLAD certfication really useful? I thought i would continue exploring labview on my own when i go back to college so was thinking about getting certified at the same time. As a profesional, do you think certification is useful in

The certification is always an added advantage if you are a working professional. If you are a student, I would say it's not of much use in India. Still if
you want to get certified, there is a way to get it done without spending money. You enroll yourself for LabVIEW online training session(Webcast
wednesdays) at NI website.Once you complete a limited number of sessions, you will get a chance to attend C.L.A.D free of cost. If you are a fresher
from college without a job, you have a defenite edge to get employed with NI certification. Check following link for more info:

Webcast wednesday sounds interesting but i feel it is easier to just pay and write the exam because 20 sessions means a wait of 5 months!! Also , since i will be sitting for campus selections next semester i would like to be certified by then . (Instead of just saying that i am interested in labview and have used it in a project, I can have tangible proof that i know the basics) . Do you think sir, that it is a good thing to see on a CV?
BTW i have not introduced myself properly! My name is Tara. I am from hyderabad and am currently studying Instrumentation at BITS pilani.

I am not sure if your certification will matter at campus placement as whoever coming there for interview probably wouldn't have heard about LabVIEW as
they will be third party outsourced teams for IT majors.

I work for a service sector MNC's Bangalore Wing. I have been using LabVIEW since Jan 2008. Recenty started using TestStand also. Born and brought up in Kerala, came to Bangalore after getting job offer from my first company.
