How to shoot yourself in the foot using LabVIEW?
Approach it using text-based programming languages as your style- lots of local/global variables instead of wires, forcing execution flow using sequence structures instead of error wires...

You cannot shoot yourself in the foot using LabView, you will hang yourself with wires.

someone else uses the wires to pull the trigger which shoots you in the foot

Here's another analogy showing the differences between graphical and text based instructions.
When give the choice of using the left or right pane exclusively to go from point A to point B, I would strongly prefer the graphical representation on the right. If you miss one step on the left, you're lost in the swamp without easy recovery. On the right, it is much easier to find an alternative route in case of traffic or road closures.
I realize that map is not topographic but it all looks like low lands to me.
I hope you will not be executing any part of that sub-routine this morning and suggest that today may be a good day to clean your solar panels wearing water wings and a football helmet. And if you do, I'd like to see a picture of that.

Actually it's probably not representative because the code driving the screen on the right was probably generated by some text base language
and another thing...why did Ben get a couple of Kudos.. is this some secret hand shake thing....

For those who understand why the Google Map example is bad, needless to explain it.
For those who do not, useless.

That can't be true. I avoid talking to anyone in sales but talk to myself regularly.
Re: the Kudos
You will have to wait for those that Kudoed to find the answer.
And since we are just having fun, I'll quote myself (possible repeating myself since ther is a limit to how many smart things I have said)
"I used to C, but I got better."

... enough of the one-liners, slogans, buzzwords and generalizations! Again, leave that to the advertising department. 😄
Put in some effort, show us that you are an experienced programmer, and contribute something a bit less juvenile. We are all professionals here.
Dazzle us with some well formulated thoughts! So far it has all been hot air.
Also spice it up with some hard facts about yourself: What programming language do you prefer? What area is your expertise? How long have you been programming? What kind or programming projects do you do on a daily basis? How many minutes did you spend evaluating LabVIEW? Are you old enough to vote? To drink Beer?
(Later you could go to an atheist forum and argue that jesus and buddha are actually the same person. 🐵
