Grr! I don't know what happened with the CNN link and I am kind of embarassed about the Balloon Boy link. I really have no idea how that happened although I suppose there is no way I can deny that I was watching that Smiley Very Happy

 

Anyway I watched the entire thing and there were some really scarey moments. And I wasn't even in the capsule! But he made a perfect landing.

 

Amazing!

That was a pretty smooth landing.

 

So the question is....

They detached the capsule from the balloon to collect it. But where did the balloon itself end up, and if you find it, can you claim salvage rights and sell it on ebay?

My question is how many of these can we do before there is no more helium available? It is a non-renewable resource (well some is produced in fusion reactions, but those are either vry very loud, or just around the corner)
