In this thread, jpeters confirms that there is a bug in 7.1.1 (fixed in at least 8.2 - not sure about 8.0), which prevents the "Ignore Errors inside Node" switch from working properly, at least for the VI properties in question.

It was reported by Guy04

"For example, if compare aggregates mode is selected in using the "In Range and Coerce.vi" with the inputs (upperLimit, lowerLimit, and x value)  being an array of integers, then compare aggregates does not return correct results.  I've also noticed this with the greater than and less than comparison vi's"

This was reported to R&D (CAR #483H78HR) for further investigation per David L.
