Seems to have the typical flaw that the keyring is attached to the cap instead of the body.

advantage: You don't have your entire keychain hanging off the USB port when using it.

disadvantage: if the cap comes off by accident, you most likely keep the cap only, while losing the drive. 😞

I've never tried that.  I just fail to post and recover the vi from autosave drafts- then delete none the wiser, none aware.
