Can it be beaten into a sword?

More like this.
No need the better-half has swords and has her eyes on purchasing some more.
Which lets me tell another story.
I was pulled over two Sundays ago when I made an illegal left turn. The officer asked me after seeing my CCL "I see you have a CCL do you have any weapons in your vehicle." I quickly answered "no" and they eventually let me go with a warning. My better-half on the other (who also has a CCL) asked "How would I be answering that questions?" She carries multiple swords in her trunk since they are involved in her Kung training.
On another occation I was visit a secure government facility and was again asked if I had any weapons and I answered (since I was barrowing her car that day) I have to check the trunk.
And since I have driven down this route this far...
Sling-shots do NOT count as a weapon (after they checked with the supervisor).

Could be worse. I once placed a frequency meter in a carry-on
Yes the kind with a volume tuned resonant cavity. I have no clue what that looks like going through the scanner.
I'm sure it looks bad.....like writing BOMB on the outside of the case.

OK my turn again.
Since I already used the flying into Tel Aviv, adult male, bearded, flying alone, not a tourist armed with an NI pocket screw-driver, on the eve of Ramadan story...
There was the time my wife was flying back from Huston with a tape robot as her carry-on luggage. It was pre-911 and she still got a lot of questions.
Your turn!

I carried on a Pelican case containing a cRIO project with loads of wires for pressure and temperature sensors. Didn't get a single question. I will try to track down a picture of the inside of this thing. Definitely looked bomby

My bows and arrows also count as sport utilities (in germany) ... unless I carry broadheads... 😆

As anyone knows bombs have red LED counters ... 😄 😄

Found a picture! And no red LED numbers, no wonder I skated through.

Back in college I had an Embedded Systems class. One of the projects was to make a micro-controller count numbers up and down based on button states. Of course, the numbers were displayed on three 7-segment displays. I was walking around with it to Subway (just down the street from my campus) and the girl making my sandwich actually stopped to ask me if it was a bomb. I gave a little chuckle and told her what it was. But on the walk back to campus, I realized I actually did know how to make a bomb. Though, it didn't help that I worked on fuses for bunker-busters at the time.

When I was in the Navy, my boss was looking forward to getting out. So he wanted to create a count-down clock to display the number of days hours... until he was out.
We only had access to And, Or, Nor gates along with fancy things called JK-Flip Flops. We had to work out the logic since counters only counted up back then. It did have a RED LED display and say on top of the radar cabinet to keep track.
His nick-name was "Space" as in "Space Cadet". He was the type that would walk into a wall and forget how to turn around.

All I remember is a liberal sprinkling of o's and silent h's. Who keeps count!
Really guys? I go on vacation for one week and 3 pages of stuff is filled after something I want to comment on that went down the rabbit hole of WW3, preppers, post-apocalyptic, embedded hardware, and devices that look like (but aren't) bombs?
Anyway yes the spelling was a bit random, I always say "3 oh's and 2 h's". Of course then people ask if the first h is included in the 2. It was a story from jr. high where the gym teacher would call us up to the kick ball plate like a real athlete making up fake nick names on the spot like "Billy 'the kid' McCalister". I just happen to be Hooooooooovahhhhhh. Be grateful I shortened it.
