Cooking is the domain of my better-half.
Ever since that time she was away and tried to make my own chocolate chip cookies and use baking soda instead of baking powder...
It ended with my neighbor giving my funny looks as I was using the back door to fan the smoke out of the house when the cookies expanded out of the tray, unto the bottom of the oven and just kept coming.
I did teach her the wonders of fried bologna...

That's odd because I'll use the Tollhouse recipe on the bag. That calls for using baking soda. I don't know would happen if it used baking powder instead.

Cooking is fine, how about BBQ
Everything smaller than a pound is 'cold cut'

Which one was supposed to be used was not the one I used. The results of using the wrong one? You can repeat my experiment but standby and do not try it out with a double batch to make chocolate chip bars. If you do, please record it so I can relive my adventure without all of the smoke.

I will not stop you. many of us are very well rounded individuals capable of more than just engineering and techno-stuff.
My wife goes along with me and my interest musical theatre.
I got hooked as a thespian in high-school. We own most if not all of Roger's and Hammerstein along with many other classics. Saturday we attended...
and I lover it. Follow that up with dinner at Outback Steak house and a 16oz prime rib...
There is not better reason to take a break from prepping ...
aside from granddaughters of course.
So all topics are game with the exception of the established taboo themes.

Pun time!
Read at your own peril!
I was writing about my plans to redo my driveway in concrete and the preliminary task of running conduit for power to/from the garage as well as a water line for a sink, a waste line for same, natural gas to run a heater and maybe even shop air to the house from the compressor in the garage.
I wrote the minimum would be the power lines and all of the rest are

Spoilera pipe dream.

Just bundle them up by name into a type defined pipe cluster! But because it is 2017, I would create a 'channel' from the garage!

@Ben, using this argument "until what I breathe out gets lumped in under the category of pollution", I'd point out that most, exhalation/excrementation is considered pollution, even though, under the proper circumstances the forest would "be happy" with them as well.

For those that would like to get a look at my backyard garden and listen to me ramble about pests etc.
Don't expect a professional presentation. This was my first go at a video and editing was limited to me pausing between garden boxes.

To be filled under the topic "well, I guess that makes sense"...
I was teaching the G-daughters a little physics and how to set a piece of paper on fire with a magnifying glass. No -sir would not catch fire! Then on a whim I asked my better-half to grab a piece of a cardboard box and it started almost as fast as I could focus the beam.
I SUSPECT the piece of paper, which was scrap paper from a laser printer, is treated to NOT catch fire in the event of a jam with paper in the fusing unit. At lest that makes sense to me.
