Stupid me, opened template in project!

Instead of doing "new vi from template" within the project, I opened a VIT by doubleclicking withing the project. After doing a bunch of code I saved, overwriting my template! So frustrating....

I fully agree you should be able to Right Click New...>>Vi from Template in the project and that wouldn't have bit you.  That is one lonely Kudos there though.....

You can already right click and do this (this being right click, new vi from template). So, I'm a bit confused by the above. But I think a double click should do this by default, and you should have to right click and specify "edit template" I think the two functions should be switched.

I feel the functions should be as follows:

Double click template in project -> opens template and you are prompted for a save as when saving

Right click -> have the option to edit template.

Since I keep my *.xxt files right here

Capture.PNG

So I can File>>New... like so

Capture1.PNG

I would be able to add files easier to my projects if This

Capture2.PNGChanged to thisCapture3.PNG
