Does anyone ever use the Permalink hyperlink?
It is useful in the ideas echange. For example if you get to an idea via a forum search result, the search terms are highlighted and the url is complicated. If you then press on the "permalink" button, you get a clean link to the idea that you can reference elsewhere.

Same as Altenbach here.

I get the feeling we aren't just talking about the link to a specific post like the "Message 11 of 11" next to each post. Isn't that called a permalink?
As Altenbach suggested, in the IE you get the text as well, causing some people to refer to others as "Permalink", hence my question.

I use the forum name or the signed name of the post, possibly slightly abbreviated (e.g. Hornless.Rhino could become Hornless or Rhino or dropping trailing numbers as already mentioned).
My forum name is my identity in different communities so i actually prefer it (and if you see a Yamaeda in a game chances are it's me). My name is my civilian alias (to exaggerate slightly).
As a fun note, a couple of my friends that i've met through games are called by their game handles IRL, atleast when we talk to or about each other. It's abit fun when Nakazul presents me to some friend with "Here's Yama i've been talking about", or i say "I'm going to Naka for a coffee".
Different circles, different identities i assume.
