This person responded with nonsense to a three year old message.  Big deal, we see that all the time.  But we don't often see someone wait seven years after registering an account to post like this.  Do we?

Best guess?  This person legitimately registered 7 years ago, likely for reasons other than posting to the forum.  Then they had their e-mail account  compromised or their login/password to this site was shared with another site that was breached, and it got put into a bot network which then makes the sort of "nonsense" posts you refer to (which I have also seen).
