Lab Exercise: Direct Current (DC) Motor Simulation

This lab provides the student with a practical application of a DC motor. Beforehand, the students should be aware of the basic concepts of a DC motor. Dynamic behavior of electric motors is a difficult topic to study unless a computer-aided tool is used, or an experimental system is implemented together with specific measuring devices in a laboratory environment. In DC Motor Simulation.vi the student will learn about the dynamic behavior of the motor with emphasis on the transient and steady-state operations as well as its behavior when excited from a step-down DC-DC converter.
