Can't see 6602 in MAX. No DAQmx devices present

I've installed NIDAQmx Version 8.5 and MAX version 4.2 on my machine but I am unable to see any NIDAQmx devices in the Devices and Interfaces section even though I have a PCI 6602 installed.  I'v checked the documentation and it appears that this device is supported by NIDAQmx.  Any idea how I can view it in MAX?  There isn't even a branch for NIDAQmx when I expand the Devices and Interfaces.
