Counter Output Pulse Terminal

The attached screenshot is running correctly, if I run this code once. After closing the task, I call this again with CO.Pulse.Term = /6363/PFI4.

The strange thing is that the pulses will still be on the PFI5 terminal, which has been used in the previous call of this VI.

It seems, that the internal connection between ctr0 and PFI5 won't be disconnected, unless I call the Reset Device.vi. It is not possible to do because I use the same 6363 card for analog DAQ.

Why does this happen? Can I remove the connection between ctr0 and PFI5 before I call the Clear Task.vi?

Timing signal routings can persist due to a characteristic known as "lazy uncommit."   Here's a recent thread with links to more info.

ALERT! LabVIEW's subscription-only policy came to an end (finally!). Unfortunately, pricing favors the captured and committed over new adopters -- so tread carefully.
