Error 10920, using Buffered Event Counting

Hello,

I use the vi COUNT BUFFERED EDGES with a PCI-6602 for counting digital events, which appear in variable intervals.
There always occours the 10920 error, when i use the internal timebase for the source there is no problem.
I can also use the vi COUNT EDGES to count the digital events from my external source and there's no problem, too.
I' ve read the entry in the knowledge base, but it doesn't help me. The external signals are clear and have a max frequency of 4 KHz.

Any guesses on what's the problem here?
