Error configuring pci-6602

In Measurement and Automation Explorer under Devices and Interfaces I have a PCI-6602. When I click on this device it opens a new window giving me the option to Test Resourses. When I click on Test Resourses I get the following error "The device is not responding to the first DMA channel."

I replaced this pci-6602 card with a different one and still got the same error.

I then moved the pci-6602 card to a different pci slot and still got the same error.

Where is my problem?

Hi,

Which operating system are you using?

I would suggest you to go to the Device Manager, see if there are some entities name "Other Devices" with a yellow question mark. If yes, then delete those because they come up when the first installation of the card does not succeed. The subsequent installations of the card are hampered by those "Other Devices" item.

After deleting the item, try to install the card.

By the way, did you install the software first and then the hardware?

If you installed the software with the card already present in the computer, that is a wrong procedure. In such situation, I would say, uninstall the software, shut down the computer, take out the card, install the latest version of NI-DAQ, shut down the computer and put
back the card in.

It should be successfully detected.

Please let me know how it goes.

Sincerely,
Sastry V.
