How can i perform this task?

I am simply trying count the rotations of the disc of a kilowatt meter. I have developed a simple circuit that detects when the black strip as the disk passes. I am trying to figure out a way to count these pulses and send it to some type of output screen. I am trying to find out how and what products will help me complete this task? Your help will be greatly apprciated.

The best board to accomplish your task would be to use a counter board 6602 or a counter on one of the E-series DAQ board (if you have one already).

The counter can be set up to take a variety of measurements based on TTL signals (0-5V digital signals). The DAQ driver ships with examples of how to do event counting written in LabVIEW, C, Visual Basic.
