How to use the USER lines on the BNC 2121 with the 6602?

Hi There,

The 6602 has 8 counters on it, I want to use all 8. I have the BNC 2121 accessory which allows me to plug BNC cables into the card. There's 2 main groups of 4 lines for 2 of the counters (PFI 32-39) and then 6 USER lines. I'm using the DAQmx Channel -> CI.CountEdges.Term property node and a DAQmx Physical Channel to configure the input for each counter. I've tried expanding the IO Name Filtering on the DAQmx Physical Channel to include as many things as possible, but I don't see these 6 user lines listed anywhere. Anyone know how I can use them?

Hello Chris,

The user lines are to create your own inputs and outputs by wiring the corresponding spring terminals together.  For example, to make User 1 be the source for counter 2, wire the spring terminal "SRC2" to "USER1".  Then in the DAQmx Physical Channel constant, choose counter 2 for your count edges operation and connect your signal to USER1.
