I have a PB-LPM-16/PnP board and an incremental encoder. How to using the board I have right now to read the encoder? (including the pin's setting and programing)

I have PB-LPM-16/PnP board which has 3 counters of M82C53-2 and an incremental encoder. My operating system is PC windows 98. Can you help me about using the board I have to read the encoder. I want to know how to connect the board's pins to the encoder's, how to programming it in Labview, and the highest sampling frequency. Thanks a lot.

JJ;

If you are talking about the PC-LPM-16/PNP, that board doesn't have counters available. You need to have a board with general purpose counters available, so you can connect your encoder; such as the PCI-6602 which has inputs for encoders.
