I work at a University and we are hard pressed for cash/equipment. I have Labview 3.0.1 and a LabPC+ card (with the 8253 counter) on an old 486 machine. Since the experiment I want to use this in is run only once per year, I want to use this setup to avoid tying up a newer, more expensive computer running Labview 6i. However, all the vi's I have found so far are too new. Does anyone have an old vi that would work for event counting (ttl pulses from an optical encoder) on this old system? Should I, or do I have to get hold of NI DAQ 5.05, and if I do, where do I find this?
Thanks,
Gary
