PCI-6025E card not functioning as it should

Hello,
I recently got a PCI-6025E card and I am using the counters it has for my application.
What I basically need to do is measure the width of a variable-width pulse continuously. To do this I am using a slightly modified version of one of the VIs in the example finder.
The VI in question is found under:
Hardware Input and Output >> Traditional DAQ >> Counters >> DAQ STC >> "Measure Buffered Pulse (DAQ-STC).vi".
I have merely modified it so it can write to a file.

Now here is my problem: when I run it, it just does not see beyond the first value. I have an input that is a pulse whose width varies over time. But the card only reads the very first input(correctly too) but after that it remains latched on to that value
and refuses to read the input and give the correct output.
Has anyone seen this before?

Is there a fix?
Thanks a lot!

Raji,

As a test, if you use the device's other counter to generate a pulse train, can you acquire this signal correctly? What parameters are you specifying ("counts to read", "buffer mode", etc.)? Are you performing any other operations simultaneously (analog input, analog output, etc.)?

Let me know.
