PCI 6602 signal connection to quadrature encoder

Hi,

I am new to work with PCI-6602 and quadrature encoder. I have 3 channle quadrature encoder. it has channel A, B, and Z. Z channel is indexing channel. I connected A to CTR0 source, B to CTR 0 AUX, Z to CTR 0 GATE. I run Max to measure #  pulses of encoder. In Counter I/O of test panels, I selected channel name (Dev1/ctro), Mode (Edge Counting), and Edge Source (/Dev1/20MHzTimebase). Once I clicked Start, the counter Value was reading and I wasn't turning the encoder. Can anyone tell me what did i do wrong?

With this setting, the edges of the internal 20MHz timebase of the PCI-6602 are counted !
Change Edge Source to /Dev1/PFI39 (--> CTR 0 source --> signal A of the encoder with your wiring) and try again.
See page 3-7 of the user manual for the PFI numbers.

Some examples ship with LabVIEW.

Thanks, It's work now. I just had losing connection cable.
