I need the user manual of the PCI-6624. I can not find it on the web site. I need informations about which signal i can route on the gate and on the source of counter.
You can find this information in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) by selecting your device and looking at the "Device Routes" tab. This tool in MAX will show you all the possible routes and destinations on the 6624.
I don't have the PCI-6624 board (I plan to buy it).
I found the following information on the TIO help file : "You can select any PFI or RTSI, as well as many other internal signals like the Counter n Gate (CtrnGate) signal. ".
So, i think that i can connect the PFI14 (default CTR 6 GATE) to the CTR 1 GATE ?
I prefer pdf file to help fiel like 'TIO_Series_Help.chm'. But it is ok.
I need another confirmation : is true that it is not possible to read the state of the PFI input line and write the state of the output PFI line of the PCI-6624 ?
The NI 6624 has 34 PFI lines, with 26 inputs and eight outputs. The PFI lines are unidirectional. They are set either as inputs or outputs. An input cannot be configured as an output and an output cannot be configured as an input through software.

I know that it is not possible to configure an input as output and vice versa.
I want to know if it is possible to read the input like an input of a digital i/o board. For example, is it possible to read PFI39 or PFI38 with NI-DAQmx ?
