Hi,
I try to use the PXI-6624 Timer/Counter module as a pulse generator. Therefor i connected a 5V power supply to the Vdd (pin 7)/ Vss (pin 😎 pins and a 1k load between Vdd (pin 7) and OUT (pin 9) like shown in the "TIO Series Help". An oscilloscope is parallel to the load. When i switch on the power supply the output signal goes to high (5V). Now i start the C# .NET example "GenDigPulse" which has been installed with the driver installation, but i cant get an output signal?!
Is my external wiring faulty? Do i have to connect additional external signals (i.e. SRC, GATE, AUX)?
Any idea?

Hi thesam,
your external connection seem to be correct.
How do you measure your output-signal?
Please test this not only with the C# example but also in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX).
There you can use the test panel.
Please do also try some another counters. Maybe Counter 0 is not working.

Hi,
I solved the problem. It was a ground loop due to the connection of the oscilloscope that shorted the output signal. My mistake was that i attached the oscilloscope parallel to the load. Now i put the oscilloscope from OUT to GND and everything is OK.
