Reading an encoder signal

Hi:
I have an AT-MIO-16XE-50 adquisition board and I have to read two quadrature encoders. Now I´m reading them on a buffer (period buffer with a tiembase of 20 Mhz) but I want to trigger both at the same time. Can I do that with the AT-MIO?.Can I program a Stop-Trigger for each other ( one for counter 0 and other for counter 1)?

I want to read an analog input signal so, I want to synchronize with the counter 0 (gate signal).

Thank you

Hello;

The counter chip of that board of yours doesn't support triggered operations. To accomplish that task you will need to work with a counter board of the 660x family.

Hello Filipe:
I have been looking for information about the 660x family and I have son questions:
1)Can I start the two counters at the same time with a trigger signal?
2)Can I stop the two counters with two external signals, one for the counter 0 and one for the counter 1?
3)Can I use the RTSI bus with the 660x family and a E series board? (Supose that i want to adquire a signal for each pulse on the counter 0)

On the other side, if I want to mesure the speed on a shaft, and I have the AT-MIO board, whats is the best way to mesure if I have to mesure 0'45 rpm and I have a 2000 pulse encoder.

I looked on the NI web that for problems with vibrations a the turn of the encoder the people used a chip name 7084 (or something like the) thet reduce the vibr
ations effects, is the truth? Is a good idea?

Thank you for your attention
