Voltage threshold selector / discriminator in labview.

Spoiler
I have a NI pCI 6024e daq card which im usinf with labview 2010 and daqmx.

I have a system which outputs pulses which i have to count using my counter.

But the signal has noise in the sense that alongside the REAL pulses (which i have to count) there are some small voltage  pulses as well.

The issue is that when i try to count the pulses using the counter in my daq card it also counts the low voltage pulses and therefore gives a false reading.

How can i specify a voltage level threshold (like a discriminator) so that only the pulses above a specific  voltage level are counted.
Any help would be much appreciated

Voltage thresholds for counter input are fixed and documented in the datasheet.

You need to use external circuit to achieve adjustable threshold. One way is to use a OPAMP or Comparator in the path of the signal and set the threshold value using a potentiometer or make it programmable using one of the AO channels.
