We have a PCI6602 card, which has been running well on Windows XP with our VB6 application, using NI-DAQ 6.7.
On a new PC, I installed the NI-daq 6.7 and the driver could not install properly. The card could not start (error code 10). So I installed NI-DAQ 7.4 and then the card was recognised and NIMAX could see it fine. I was able to run the self-test and it appeared to be fine.
However, when I started my VB6 application, it killed the PC, i.e. the PC could not restart.
I have not changed anyhting in my application. It is running fine on other PCs with either ni-daq 6.7 or 7.4.
Do you know of any hardware incompatibility, or other things that could cause this type of problem?
