pci-6601 using in buffer mode with numMeasurements or defininte time

i am using pci-6601 with visual basic 6 and it is working excellenet  in buffer mode nmMeasurements. i want a time control over this, example if nmMeasurements set for 100000 are not reached 1000sec  then it should stop and give values of nmmeasuremts in 100sec. nmMeasurement is random event. please help in this regard.

Hello Mohd,
I'm not sure I understand exactly what you are asking, but I'll take a stab at it. 

Are you using an external clock or what would cause you not to acquire the number of samples you had previously specified?  The way the acquire functions work, they wait until they have acquired all of the samples you requested before returning them.  To return samples from the acquire functions more often you can either increase the rate or decrease the number of samples acquired.
